ABOUT US:

Dry Ridge Elementary is a "Blue Ribbon School of Excellence" with a proven record of success. The students, parents, and faculty will all agree that this is a place where kids come first and the environment is both warm and friendly. The school was recently renovated to make the climate even more conducive to learning. The halls are bright and inviting, the classrooms are full of exciting learning opportunities, and the physical climate is comfortable and warm (and cool when needed). The staff at DRE is very dedicated to serving the students in a caring and child-friendly environment where all their needs can be addressed and maximum learning can take place.

We have 40 full-time Certified teachers providing a full range of services to all facets of our student population - including Speech and Language, Special Education, Title 1, Gifted and Talented, ESL, and Hearing Impaired. These teaching professionals are supported by 16 Classified employees and a full-time School Nurse. Learning is a fun, meaningful experience for our students. Dry Ridge Elementary works to promote opportunities for all students to reach their potential through participation in developmentally appropriate programs that serve the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of each student. It is our desire to instill the skills for life long learning in every student.

The school programs and policies are developed and monitored through our School Based Decision Making Council which includes representatives from our administration, faculty, and parent community. The Council, in conjunction with the school staff, takes an active role in developing the school’s strategic plan for academic improvement. Our school is strongly supported by an active and involved parent teacher organization and an equally active parent community through our Family Resource Center.
