IMPORTANT NOTICE!

New Immunization Requirements

(Relevant to All Students)

Beginning in the school year 2018-2019, ALL students will need to show proof of having received two doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine. This vaccine requires the delivery of the doses to be given six months apart. In addition, students age sixteen years and older must show proof of having received two doses of the meningococcal vaccine. Grant County Schools worked throughout the spring to notify parents of these new requirements, but if there is any question regarding your child’s immunizations, it is important to contact your physician or local health department as soon as possible to verify your student has correctly received the necessary immunizations. If they have not yet had these immunizations, you should schedule an appointment before the school year starts. As applicable, please bring the updated KY immunization certificate to any of the registration events prior to the beginning of school, or on the first day. If you have additional questions, please contact your medical provider or Mary Beagle, District Health Coordinator, at  mary.beagle2@grant.kyschools.us.
