What you need to know before beginning:
  • Weathering is the wearing or breaking of rock into sediment.  It is destructive because the rock is broken or removed.
  • Erosion is the moving or transport of rock/sediment.  It is destructive because the rock is broken or removed.
  • Deposition is the dropping of rock/sediment into a new location.  It is constructive because rock is being added to a new place.
