GCS CAREER & TECHNOLOGY CENTER OFFERS COURSES FOR ADULTS

The Grant County Schools Career and Technology Center has arranged to offer 3 courses which lead to industry-recognized certifications this fall:

> Medicaid Nurse Assistant / Certified Nursing Assistant,
> Mechatronics (a component of advanced manufacturing), and
> Welding: AWS Sense - Level I (Entry Welder)

These programs lead to careers in fields that are considered to be in high demand for the Northern Kentucky region and provide long-term employment opportunities.

The classes to be offered at the Grant County Schools CTC are very competitively priced and feature the same curriculum, assessment, and certification as provided by other regional post-secondary institutions. Additionally, thanks to partnerships with the Northern Kentucky Area Development District / Workforce Development Board, the Grant County Career Advancement Center, and their supporting agencies, it is possible that individuals may qualify for certain workforce development funds that will provide this training at no or reduced cost. To determine eligibility for workforce development funds, please contact Katrina Harris-Greene at 859.813.8124.

The registration deadline has been extended to September 23, 2014. Please check out the course descriptions and registration information available below. Also, please feel free to call Nancy Howe at 824-2859 for questions about registration and/or tuition payment options.

The Grant County School District is eager to make these classes available, but will need to cancel if a class minimum cannot be met. If you or any of your acquaintances may be interested in one of these classes, please act now.
