GCHS...Keeping in Touch

Message from the Principal

July 2022

Dear Grant County High School Community,

I am honored to serve as the next Principal of Grant County High School.  I have long been aware of the undeniable role GCHS has played and will continue to play in the shaping of the future of Grant County.  As principal, I will spend my first year focusing on the following three areas:

  1. Every student will develop a plan for life after high school.

  2. As a staff we will work more efficiently and effectively to positively impact student achievement.

  3. Students will value their time at GCHS and be proud of their school community.

Conversations will begin during Freshman year that will center around the path toward either college, workforce, or military service.  We will work to inform students and their families of the expectations and possibilities that exist within each of these three areas.  Our goal is not to make decisions for students, but rather to provide relevant information that will allow each student to develop a plan that is best suited for their interests, skills, and ambitions.

I have already begun working with all staff to clarify procedures and processes that will allow us to work more efficiently and effectively.  Our goal is to create a culture of clarity and consistency.  We believe that this work is necessary to maximize the opportunities for learning in a safe and secure environment.

We want to celebrate the many wonderful accomplishments of GCHS students.  GCHS represents our greatest asset as a community- our future.   Students need to know that they have our enthusiastic support as they complete the foundation work that will lead to a lifetime of opportunity and success.

I am looking forward to an exciting year.

Proud to be a BRAVE,

Todd Moody, Principal
