Grant County, KY – The Grant County School Board of Education approved the salary scales for the 2025-2026 school year, raising the starting salary for teachers from $38,194 to $41,963. This restructuring comes on the heals of the district's Strategic Plan approval.

Board Chairperson, Lisa Smith, States: “ We, the board, are extremely hopeful that the restructured salary tables for the 25-26 school year will bring us some new faces, but also show our awesome veteran staff that we heard you and are working hard to make a difference for our district.”

The Strategic Plan, approved at the March 2025 board meeting, outlined a goal to provide competitive pay and benefits as compared to similar districts across the state. Superintendent Todd Moody shares, “An investment in our staff puts us more in line with similarly sized districts. We realize that we have the privilege to serve our students, our community, and our future. I am grateful for the support and input from our community in the development of our Strategic Plan, which prioritizes the need to attract and retain qualified staff.”

Grant County Schools is committed to attracting and retaining high-quality staff, initiating a 2% raise for all classified employees as well.
