Director of Secondary Education Announced

Jamie Gokey named Director of Secondary Education

Grant County Schools is excited to announce that Jamie Gokey has accepted the role of Director of Secondary Education, starting on July 1, 2024. Mrs. Gokey has sixteen years of experience in education. She began her career as an 8th grade Language Arts teacher at Grant County Middle School and later worked as an Engagement Coach for the district. In the 2023 school year, she took on the role of Curriculum Specialist at Grant County High School.

Jamie Kellam, Chief Academic Officer for Grant County Schools, shared, "Mrs. Gokey brings extensive experience in instructional coaching and a deep passion for enhancing teaching and learning in our secondary schools." Jamie Gokey herself said, "Instruction is my passion! I look forward to supporting administrators and teachers to make a positive impact for students! My philosophy centers around collaboration, engagement, and lifelong learning."

Jamie lives in Dry Ridge with her husband, Pete, and their three sons, Ben, Lucas, and Sammy. We are looking forward to seeing the positive impact Jamie will bring to instruction within Grant County Schools!
