Jackie St. Amour Director of Transportation
Grant County Schools has announced that Jackie St. Amour is the new Director of Transportation. With twenty years of experience as a bus driver and trainer within Grant County Schools, Jackie has been described as an employee who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that everything is done right. Scott Shipp, Director of Operations, expressed his confidence in Jackie's abilities, stating, "I feel very confident in her ability to run our Transportation Department."
Jackie is enthusiastic about her new role, stating, "Being a bus driver, I know everybody here, I know the roads, the people, the attitudes, we have a great group of drivers here!" She has set a goal to increase the number of routes to alleviate the issue of buses operating at maximum capacity. With ten openings for bus drivers, Jackie is eager to encourage potential candidates to join the team, emphasizing, "I love my job, I love driving the bus, as transportation director, I’m still going to be driving a bus, we currently have 10 openings, if there are any bus drivers out there, come on!"
The school district is looking forward to Jackie's leadership in her new role.
