P-EBT BENEFITS: DETAILS PROVIDED HERE
Are you a parent desiring to apply for the P-EBT benefit?  Here's what you need to know...

We are receiving several inquiries regarding the P-EBT food benefit program, of which every one of our students is eligible.  The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program is a financial resource for families with students who lost access to free or reduced-price school meals due to COVID-19.  P-EBT provides households with an EBT card with funds ($313.50 per child) to spend on food at home for students.

100% of GCS students are eligible for P-EBT because Grant County Schools is a “Community Eligible Provision” school. (CEP is the program that provides meals for 100% of our students at no cost to families).

To receive P-EBT benefits:

  • Students who are currently receiving SNAP benefits on an active EBT card will automatically receive additional funds for P-EBT on their card.  The parent or guardian does not have to do anything.
  • Students who are receiving Medicaid or KTAP benefits based on income levels below the NSLP income guidelines, or who are in foster care, will automatically receive a P-EBT card in the mail with instructions.  The guardian and/or parent does not need to do anything.  Please note:  We are hearing from families who have not yet received this mailing.  The school district has not been provided any information regarding timelines for mailing / receipt of these cards.  This program is administered through CHFS, and we believe this to be the correct entity for inquiry. • Elective Participation: All other GCS students may elect to participate, but each parent/guardian will have to be pro-active in doing so.  The online application is available here:   .  https://benefind.ky.gov/

The state Benefind site will require the student's name, address, date of birth and Statewide Student Identification (SSID). There are several ways to obtain the SSID.  Some of our schools provide the SSID on the child’s report card right under his/her name.  For other buildings, the SSID may be provided on an assessment report such as MAP.  The SSID is also available to parents via the Infinite Campus parent portal.  If you are already a “Campus Parent” simply log in to obtain your child’s number.  (If you have an account, but have forgotten your password, please email [email protected] to have your password reset.)  If you do not already have a “Campus Parent” account/app, it will be necessary for parents to contact their child’s school in order to access Campus Parent.  (See list below for appropriate individuals together with their contact information.)  For verification please include in the email: your student's name, date of birth and school they attend. If you have multiple students in the district you will only need to email one of the secretaries with all of the information.  We realize our phone hours have been and will continue to be sporadic due to COVID-19 and summer.  The individuals below, however, will be able to help you at their earliest opportunity.

Once the school has provided you with the necessary information to establish your account, Campus Parent may be accessed via the web here:  https://kyede6.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/grant.jsp or via the “Campus Parent” app available through the App Store or Google Play.
