IT'S TIME FOR KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION!
The Grant County School District is excited to announce Kindergarten registration for the Class of 2032! The registration process will begin in March.  We cannot wait to welcome our newest students!

Please note that students must turn five (5) on or before August 1st for admission to Kindergarten.  This means students must be born on or before August 1, 2014, to enroll.  (KRS 158.030)

Early Entrance:  Grant County Schools has established criteria for early entrance to Kindergarten if a child’s birthday falls after August 1.  In order to be admitted early, the parent must fill out an early entrance application before June 1.  Other criteria for Early Entrance to GCS Kindergarten include:

--Child must live within the Grant County School District
--Child must score above the 90th percentile on a developmental screener
--Space must be available at the child’s home school

To schedule an appointment for Kindergarten registration or for questions regarding early entrance to Kindergarten, please contact your child’s projected school.  The schedule below shows registration / screening dates and is applicable to both Kindergarten Registration and Early Admission application for the 2019-2020 school year.  If you cannot participate on the dates shown for your child’s home school, you may register at another location.

Checklist for School Enrollment:  Several documents are required to complete school enrollment.  Parents are asked to bring their child with them to the registration event, plus as much of the following as possible:
_____An original, state certified birth certificate (with seal)
_____Social Security card (for child)
_____Pertinent guardianship and/or custody papers; and/or Emergency Protective Order (if applicable)
_____Proof of residency (document such as utility bill, lease agreement, etc., showing parent's name & address) -- or a Temporary Residency Verification form (if other proof of residency is unavailable)
_____Certificate of Immunization
_____Physical Examination
_____Dental Evaluation
_____Eye Examination
