Fred Award Finalist
The Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) have named the three finalists for the Fred award, an award that seeks to honor support staff who are the heart and soul of our public schools.  The award began in 2007 inspired by the Mark Sanborn book, The Fred Factor. The winner of this award must exhibit four principals,
1. Make a positive difference each day
2. Have a heart for people
3. Change ordinary moments into memorable moments
4. Lead by example

Grant County Middle School Custodian, Joe Webster has been named a finalist!

Upon hearing of his finalist recognition Joe stated, "I am thrilled to bring recognition to our students and our district, to be the reason our community is highlighted, is a pretty cool feeling." Joe is a custodian as well as a bus driver, he is often seen checking on students, reassuring them that even though today may be rough, tomorrow will be a new start. Before the winner can be named, a film crew will be visiting Grant County Middle School creating a video that will be used by the judging panel to select the winner.  Superintendent, Matthew Morgan states, "Joe is a prime example of the many dedicated staff we have throughout Grant County Schools."

We look forward to the awards ceremony in July, though know that Joe is a Fred in Grant County Schools.
