Grant County Schools is proud to announce Mrs. Leigh Simpson as the new Principal of Grant County High School!
With 29 years of dedicated service to the district, Mrs. Simpson brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted commitment to our students and community. Throughout her career, she has served in many roles — including teacher, coach, club sponsor, curriculum specialist, and associate principal — each one shaping her into the dynamic leader she is today.
Mrs. Simpson is a proud graduate of Morehead State University and earned both her Master’s degree and Rank I certification from Eastern Kentucky University. Her leadership will focus on “sharpening the lens” on post-secondary readiness, aiming to unlock untapped potential within the school and guide every student toward success beyond graduation.
She is passionate about investing in each student's growth and partnering with her dedicated staff to celebrate achievements, big and small, throughout the school year.
