Grant County, KY – On February 12, 2026, the Grant County Board of Education approved the bid for major upgrades to the Grant County High School athletic complex.
Superintendent Todd Moody shared, “The athletic complex was a key priority in our 2025–2028 Strategic Plan. Families and community members told us that improving our facilities should be a major focus. We are proud to move forward with these upgrades. Our students deserve excellent facilities that support their success.”
The project will include upgrading the football field to turf, allowing soccer programs to host home games on the GCHS campus. The track will be resurfaced and expanded with additional lanes. The press box will be expanded and updated with improved electrical capacity. New tennis courts will be constructed behind the softball complex, along with several additional improvements.
Construction is expected to begin within the next month and is projected to be completed by December 2026.
