We know you all have LOTS of NTI packets...attached is a chart with due dates! If your student is struggling to complete their NTI packets, information is being sent home with some dates for after school NTI support! ❤️💙

Happy FRYSC Week! FRYSC stands for Family Resource and Youth Service Center. Family Resource Centers serve elementary students and Youth Service Centers serve middle and high school students. Did you know that there are 961 Family Resource and Youth Service Centers in the state of Kentucky?! Their purpose? To bring together their school, families, and community partners! To remove non-academic barriers! To make their school the best it can be!
At Sherman Elementary, I (Mrs. Hamilton) have been Family Resource Center Coordinator for 6.5 years. My favorite FRC programs are Afterschool Art and Garden Club - both being creative and growing plants are passions of mine! I love Sherman Elementary and look forward to working with staff and students here daily. ❤️🐎💙

This year’s theme is: Outplay Meanness. Outlast Negativity. Out-Kind Everyone.
All week long, our school will be taking on the ultimate kindness challenge 💛
We’re kicking things off Monday with Welcome to Kindness Island, so wear your tropical gear and help us set the tone for a week full of positivity!
Let’s work together to outplay unkindness, outlast negativity, and show what happens when a school chooses kindness.

With several roads still unsafe for our buses to travel and the potential for more snow tomorrow, Friday, February 6, 2026, will be NTI Day #10 for Grant County Schools. This is our last NTI day.

Cameras are optional, microphones should be muted when not speaking, and we ask that participants use the raise hand feature or chat to contribute to the discussion. Our goal is to create a respectful, collaborative space where all voices are heard as we work together to support our students and school.
Thank you for your partnership and flexibility as we try this new format. We look forward to a great conversation.

Grant County Schools will use NTI Day #9 on Thursday, February 5, 2026. We are incredibly thankful for the crews who have been working around the clock pushing snow and helping us get closer to safely returning to school. A special thank you to our own maintenance department for relentlessly clearing sidewalks and parking lots—your dedication does not go unnoticed. We know this work is demanding, and we are truly grateful for your commitment to our students, staff, and community.

Mrs. Vanhoose is kind, loving, and always there for any student or staff member who needs her! We love you, Mrs. Vanhoose! Happy National School Counselor Week! ❤️🐎💙
