We ❤️ the sunshine in Running Club! 👟👟

Mrs. Rose's class doing a STEM activity to see which group can build the highest peep nest! 🐥 Also, pictures from them researching bird beaks in a hands on worm dig! 🐦

The April family newsletter was sent home at the beginning of the week. In case it didn’t make it home, I’ve attached a copy for you here. Have a great day!
Thank you,
Mrs. Brickler

These gardeners were SUPER busy today! They planted 400+ Zinnia seeds and a few trays of vegetables! The weather wasn't ideal, but we stayed under the awning and made the most of it! We would like to Thank Tractor Supply for selecting Sherman for a school garden grant - we purchased our potting soil, strawberry plants, and asparagus roots with our grant money! 🌼🍅🫑🥒🍓

🔍Today (4/1) is the ninth & LAST Sherman Background Check Day of the school year. Background Checks completed today will NOT be processed for April field trips, however, they should be processed for field day in May and for the few May field trips. You will need $10 (exact cash or check) and a valid driver's license. Walk-ins are welcome between 8:30 AM - 3 PM.

3/27 Kindergarten Registration 📚🐁

SPRING BREAK FOOD DISTRIBUTION: We will have a food distribution before Spring Break this Thursday 4/2/26 from 4-5:30 PM. This is open to anyone that lives in Grant County. You don’t need an appointment to come. Pickup will be at the Career and Tech Center Entrance of Grant County High School (715 Warsaw Rd, Dry Ridge, KY 41035).

🏫 There will be NO Afterschool Tutoring this Wednesday, April 1st - all of our teachers will be in KSA training. Please plan accordingly!
🚘Friendly reminder: for tutoring & other afterschool programs, please form a single file line for pickup. We have less manpower after school than normal parent pickup, so a single file line is best and safest!
STRIDE Students of the Week ❤️🐎💙 These students do a great job of meeting expectations & they are great examples to their classmates! Keep up the great work!

👟 Sherman Running Club is making HUGE strides! 👟

Today, Kentucky Kids on the Block visited Sherman! The K-2nd presentation covered bullying prevention and 3rd-5th presentation covered cyber bullying prevention.

This Thursday, March 26th is Reds Opening Day! To celebrate, students are invited to wear Reds gear or other baseball gear! ⚾
*ALL Spirit Days are optional.

🔍BACKGROUND CHECKS: Dry Ridge Elementary (at 275 School Road, Dry Ridge, KY 41035) is having Background Checks TODAY (Tuesday, March 24th) from 4-6 PM! Since they are a Grant County School, it counts for Sherman as well. There is no appointment required. You need $10 (exact cash or check) AND your valid driver's license. I have been told that you drive around the back of the Dry Ridge Elementary building to their FRC's office to complete a background check. This is your best & last bet for getting your background check processed and APPROVED for April field trips, but is still not guaranteed.
My next Sherman Background Check Day is April 1st from 8:30 AM-3 PM. This is more for May field day volunteers or May field trips chaperones - April 1st background checks will NOT be processed in time for April field trips.
Just a reminder: ALL background checks are wiped during the summer and NEW background checks are due August for the NEW school year.
Congratulations to our winners of the Book Fair Family Night Raffle: Colson (primary winner) & Adalie (intermediate winner)! 📚
