🔍BACKGROUND CHECKS: Dry Ridge Elementary is having Background Checks early next week on Tuesday, March 24th from 4-6 PM! Since they are a Grant County School, it counts for Sherman as well. There is no appointment required. You need $10 (exact cash or check) AND your valid driver's license. I have been told that you drive around the back of the Dry Ridge Elementary building to their FRC's office to complete a background check. This is your best & last bet for getting your background check processed and APPROVED for April field trips, but is still not guaranteed.
My next Sherman Background Check Day is April 1st from 8:30 AM-3 PM. This is more for May field day volunteers or May field trips chaperones - April 1st background checks will NOT be processed in time for April field trips.

Afterschool Art #7🌈 🎨🖌 Our March artist of the month was Mrs. Alma Thomas! Alma was the first African-American woman to be included in the White House's permanent art collection! We used her colorful artwork and St. Patrick's Day to inspire our rainbow art!

We will train for the Derby Dash 5K in Williamstown on May 2nd!
We are looking for dedicated, hardworking students who will TRAIN for a local 5K race - 3.1 miles! They do not have to be ready now...by attending practices and giving 100% they will be ready by May! The Family Resource Center will cover the cost of the race!
The coaches are excited to work with these runners and watch them grow!
