All Grant County residence with students preschool - 12th grade are welcome to attend. Students must be present to receive supplies.
Families will pull into the main GCHS entrance, park in the FIRST parking lot to the RIGHT, and then enter the building at the CTE entrance.

Dear Parent or Guardian,
We look forward to welcoming you today (8/5) for backpack and car tag pickup, which will take place from 7 AM to 2 PM.
Before you can pick up your tags or receive your child's teacher assignment, please be sure to complete your Infinite Campus online registration update if you have not already done so after July 1.
Every student must have backpack and car tags before the first day of school, so we appreciate you taking care of this important step.
We can't wait to see you today and are excited to welcome your family for another great school year!
Dear Parent or Guardian,
To help us prepare for a safe and successful start to the school year, Parent Pickup Tag Days will be held on the following dates:
Wednesday, August 5th between 7 AM – 2 PM
Thursday, August 6th between 8 AM – 3 PM
Tuesday, August 11th between 8 AM – 3 PM
If you are unable to pick up your tags during one of these times, they will also be available during our Open House on Thursday, August 13th from 5 - 7 PM.
Please note that every student must have their backpack tag and parent pickup car tags before the first day of school. These tags are an important part of our student safety procedures and help ensure a safe, secure, and efficient dismissal process each day.
Before we can release your child's pickup tags or teacher assignment, you must complete your student's Online Registration through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Online Registration must be completed before pickup tags and teacher assignments can be provided.

IMPORTANT UPDATE for Food Pantry today 7/16/26 (1:50 PM)
Change of plans: Enter in the first enrance (career and tech center). You will see the yellow food pantry sign, circle around the cone, and leave out the same entrance. Just as we do for parent drop off and pick up during the school year.

July Food Distribution will be this Thursday 7/16/26 from 3-5:30pm. At this time, due to construction, we’re unsure of the EXACT location of pickup (somewhere at Grant County High School), but will update Thursday morning.
FREE Movie Night! Toy Story 3 playing TONIGHT (7/13)! Doors open at 5:30 PM @ Grant County High School! There is a lot of construction going on at GCHS, so please park in the staff lot. The staff lot is directly to the right of the stop sign on campus.
Movie night #4 will be next Monday July 20th. We plan to go to Cinemark in Florence next Tuesday July 21st and see Toy Story 5. We’re waiting for next week showtimes to be released to announce a time and purchase tickets. Once the tickets are purchased we will release a sign up. We will take care of tickets and concessions at the theatre but families will be responsible for their own transportation.

Sunshine Harvest (Kids' Gardening Program)
Where? Sherman Elementary - School Garden
When? Tuesday, July 21, 2026
Who? Sherman students entering 1st-5th grade. This program is limited to 15 students.
Time? 9 - 11 AM (students MUST be picked up at 11 AM sharp!)
Project? Harvest vegetable, learn about gardening, pick flowers, make a bouquet! The goal is for students to leave with fresh vegetables and a bouquet they made themselves!
What students need? Comfortable clothing that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, a water bottle, sunscreen applied before arrival!
PLEASE FILL OUT ONE FORM PER STUDENT! Also, please check your child's schedule before signing them up - especially since this program is limited to 15 participants.

Summer Family Story Time
July 9th from 10:30–11:30 AM
at Sherman Library
This program is recommended for elementary-aged students. Children will enjoy listening to stories, playing games, and creating a fun craft to take home.
Please register in advance so Mrs. Bartlett can make sure there are enough supplies for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!
