For Staff - COVID-19 Info and Resources

Important Info from the GCS HR Department

The Kentucky Department of Insurance has launched a Take Care Kentuckians page on the KEHP.ky.gov website to provide members with a directory of at-home resources for school-age children, mental health and physical well-being. In addition to the resources there, we want you to be aware of additional offerings to help KEHP members during these challenging times.

• Members can use telehealth services for their primary care, specialist, behavioral health, or substance abuse visits with both in-network and out-of-network providers

• Telephonic-only care for in-network providers is also covered

• These visits are covered for FREE for 90 days effective March 17, 2020

• Members should check with their local providers as many have expanded their services to include telehealth visits

FSA/HRA Medical Expenses–Additional Products

• Over-the-counter drugs and medicines can now be paid for with FSA and HRA funds

• Menstrual care products are now considered an eligible FSA/HRA expense

• Since these are new FSA/HRA benefits, some systems will not be able to process the claims automatically; members should save their receipt in case they have to verify the claim or submit for reimbursement through the Pay Me Back program

Pharmacy Prior Authorizations-Extensions

•To prevent gaps in therapy, many pharmacy prior authorizations set to expire between March 23 and June 30, will be extended for 90 days.

For instance, if a prior authorization is set to expire May 15, the expiration date will be extended to August 15.
