Mr. Matthew A. Morgan has served as Superintendent of Schools since May, 2017. He came to the position with 26 years of experience, 25 of which were with the Grant County School District.
Mr. Morgan’s service to Grant County Schools includes roles as a teacher at Grant County High School and Grant County Middle School, Assistant Principal at Grant County Middle School, Director of Pupil Personnel, and Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Personnel. Additionally, Mr. Morgan served as Interim Superintendent from January - May, 2017, following the retirement of Dr. Ron Livingood.
Mr. Morgan is a native of Grant County, having attended elementary school at Mason Elementary, and graduating from Grant County High School in 1987. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Education from the University of Kentucky (1991), his Master of Arts in Secondary Education (1997) and Rank I (1999) from Northern Kentucky University, and his Superintendent’s certification from Xavier University (2003).
