COVID-19 COMMUNICATION #8

COVID-19 update:  March 20, 2020 / School Closure Extended

Greetings, Parents and Stakeholders -

This has surely been an interesting week! We have managed to prepare and deliver upwards of 1000 meals each day, and have prepared and delivered NTI instruction to over 3000 students! If you do not have your child’s material by Monday, March 23, please reach out to your child’s school.

We know the Non-Traditional Instruction adds a new challenge in each home, but we encourage parents and students to take the work seriously. We all agree that we want to be sure your child is where he / she needs to be academically when this is over – and, together, we can!

Starting Monday the meal delivery for Countryside and the surrounding streets will be a bit earlier -- starting the drive-through at 11:20 a.m. and concluding at 12:20 p.m..

And finally, we have just learned the governor recommends keeping schools closed until April 20. That is one week longer than originally planned. We will continue to deliver NTI instruction and be in touch with our students throughout that time.

We are posting lots of information and resources to our website. Please check out the COVID-19 Info tab as a one-stop resource for our parents and stakeholders.

Everyone, take care, wash your hands, practice social distancing, and enjoy some quality family time this weekend!
