Grant County Families and Students,
With the first nine weeks of school already complete, we want to highlight the great things happening around Grant County Schools. Our Grant County High School Career and Technology center continues to provide industry certifications and workplace experience. With several students accepted into the NAVIGO Scholar Program. Our Grant County Middle School students are engaged in hands-on learning experiences. Our elementary students are all receiving classroom experiences that immerse students in the world around them. We are striving for student-centered excellence each day.
We know our students must be in our buildings to receive this great education from Grant County Schools. Our faculty of educators and support professionals work tirelessly to ensure each student receives structure, safety, and enhancing learning opportunities each day. Our transportation department is doing its best to ensure that students that need transportation to school, receive transportation. It is unfortunate that we are still in a bus driver shortage, and must again, cancel routes through the second semester.
The routes canceled are in the attached document and run through January 13, 2023. Again, we ask that if you have your CDL or would like to work toward your CDL, please apply with the Transportation office. We are still looking for Preschool bus monitors as well. We are working through many scenarios to ensure the best logistics and bussing options are being utilized within our district. We hope that after January, fewer buses will need to cancel each week if any at all.
Again, we thank you for doing your best to ensure your student attends school each day and receives the high-quality education our district provides. Each week a one-call will remind families impacted by the coming week’s closures. If you have the opportunity to schedule or carpool, please begin those plans today.
