Hello Grant County Stakeholder,
The Grant County Schools Calendar Committee has been working hard to provide information on the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school calendars. For the first time in Grant County Schools, two school year calendars (2024-2025 & 2025-2026) will be submitted to the Grant County Board of Education for approval. Submitting two school year calendars for approval will provide all stakeholders with future dates for planning purposes. Besides two calendars being submitted for approval at one time, there are some important changes that you need to be aware of:
- The 2024-2025 school calendar will be a “Variable Instructional Calendar.” This means that for the 2024-2025 school year, we will utilize the latest start date in August and count instructional hours instead of instructional days. This calendar will exist to accommodate the construction process of Dry Ridge Elementary. Staff will still be expected to fulfill contract days and those days are designated in the calendar. 24-25 school-district-calendar.pdf. - The 2025-2026 school calendar will be a “Traditional School Calendar” where students will attend 173 instructional days. This is the current format used by Grant County Schools. Both surveys will be open through Tuesday, December 12th until midnight. After that time, results will be added to calendars for presentation to the Board of Education. Thank you for taking the time to complete the surveys.
