As a new employee, you will receive an ID badge from the Human Resources (HR) department, which serves multiple important functions:
- Building Access: Your ID badge grants you entry to the school and designated areas, reducing the need for a buzzer.
- Keys: If your role requires a key, it will be issued to you later by your principal or supervisor. Teachers typically receive a classroom key, and other staff members are assigned keys based on their specific access needs.
- Identification: Your badge acts as a visual identifier, ensuring that students and staff recognize you as an authorized school employee. School Resource Officers (SROs) also rely on visible badges to quickly verify that individuals in the building are authorized to be there.
- Timekeeping: You can clock in and out using your badge at any Frontline Kiosk equipped with a badge reader.
- Copier Access: Your badge can be programmed with your login credentials to access any copier across the district. This allows you to use PaperCut’s Follow-Me Printing to securely retrieve your print jobs from any school location.
- Event Entry: Enjoy free admission to school-sponsored sporting events and activities by presenting your badge.
Badge Creation and Replacement:
Our Grant County Schools badge is made at Central Office. If you need to make a new badge or replace an existing one, please arrange an appointment with Nadia Miller at [email protected]. Depending on the circumstances, there may be a small fee for the badge replacement.
Because your ID badge and any issued keys are essential for security and daily operations, they must be kept secure, and your badge should be worn and visible at all times while on school grounds.
We are excited to provide these convenient features to enhance your experience as part of our team!
